Chapter I
Chapter I — How Dutch Dealers Began
Dutch Dealers Studio was founded in Amsterdam in 2021 by a small team with one shared conviction: that the excitement of a well-dealt hand should never carry a price tag. Three of us came from board-game publishing; the rest arrived from indie studios tired of monetisation pressure.
We spent two years building Canal Reels from scratch, determined to get every visual detail right. The result is a game that respects both Dutch cultural heritage and the player's time. We have never sold virtual currency, never run a real-money game, and never asked for a card number. That will not change.
Our Commitment
Chapter VIII — Responsible Play
Dutch Dealers is built for adult entertainment only. Every visitor to the Grand Exchange must be 18 or older, and every feature — including Canal Reels itself — is designed to remain joyful and low-pressure. Our games carry no financial stakes and no real-money risk, because that is the only kind of exchange we believe in.
Golden Guilders, the currency of the Grand Exchange, are virtual tokens with zero monetary value. They cannot be cashed out, exchanged, or converted into anything tangible. Even though Canal Reels simulates the rhythm of a spinning reel, Dutch Dealers is not a gambling product. We nonetheless advocate strongly for responsible play habits, because entertainment should always feel like a choice.
If a session ever stops feeling like fun — or if play begins to crowd out the things that matter — we encourage you to step back. Professional support services are available in Nederland, and our Responsible Play page provides helpline details and practical guidance. You can also reach our Responsible Play Lead, Amara Osei, directly at support@dutchdealers.com.
